Jupt’d was created in July 2020, an EP was released in November 2020 titled ‘Humans Two’ which was mainly electronic instrumental music with a hint of guitar. Since the release of the Humans 2 EP, Jupt’d have come a long way. The release of two albums in 2021 paved the way forward, with a mix of sounds, beats, atmospheric sound layers and the melodic interplay between the keyboards and what was to become the instrumentals which cover the albums.
During lockdown, Jupt’d took a Music Production Course with David Brooks, keyboard player with Gary Numan and singer, and songwriter with his own band Little Finger. Each week Jupt’d would learn something new about the ins and outs of Logic Pro and Omnisphere. This became of great value to Jupt’d with his new skills enabling him to produce the albums, thank you to David’s help, and his knowledge and experience of keyboards and recording.
Life has got back to some kind of normality after lockdown and although most people didn’t enjoy being locked in, Jupt’d found that as a musician this presented him with loads of time to experiment with music. Considering he only bought his first keyboard at the start of lockdown, he managed to learn how to play, compose, record, mix and end up with enough material for four albums.
This year (2022) Jupt’d released his third album on June 10th, simply called Jupt’d. The music is more experimental and upbeat. As always the tracks were mastered by Big Que.
